New pictures - Pre-surgery (BEFORE)

We are getting ready for Pearl's first surgery on Friday!   All the process and paperwork has been confirmed, and she had her pre-op doctor visit this past Monday.   We will be at the hospital at 6am on Friday.   She will first had her ear tubes inserted by the ENT doctor, follow by her lip repair.   Her nose will also be reconstructed during the process.    It is hard to imagine a one-year-old going through surgeries like this, knowing that she will be going through it not being able to communicate her pain, her discomfort and her fear.   But according to the surgeon, she will not remember any of this - and this is comforting to know.   It will all be good for her.    Looking at these pictures (speaking from Mom, of course!), it is not hard to see that she is a natural beauty!    A beautiful girl in growing!

Everyday we adore her more and more.   She would wave and smile when Daddy walks into the house.    She would pick up my slippers and follow me when I walk upstairs with bare feet.   As the weather gets warmer, we often take her for a stroller walk in our neighborhood, and she seems to enjoy every moment, and would wave and smile at our neighbors.   No, still no words yet - she probably won't speak until after her palate repaired in summer according to the doctor.   But her action and expressions alone is enough to completely melt our hearts.
