The past two months feels like a long time. There were so many changes and adjustments.
Pearl and Bethany both started school. Pearl is in a Pre-K Speech program two mornings a week, to work on her speech. Bethany is in a Pre-K vision class full time. Both are adjusting well, and enjoying school tremendously. Both girls get pick up and drop off in front of our house, which is so wonderful. The best part, for me, is that I get a break to relax and regroup while they are at school learning from wonderful teachers.

| Pearl's first day waiting for school bus! |
| Bethany's first day of school walking to her classroom with her teacher. |
| Our two little ones.. One is bold and carefree, the other is defensive, a little fire cracker when things are not her way. They are not quite the best friends as I had hoped them to be. :-) We need a lot of grace and forgiveness everyday. By God's grace, I hope we will get there soon! |

| Bethany has come a long way in two months. The school is so wonderful and the teachers there truly care. Just last Saturday, as she came down for breakfast, she said to me, for the first time without me prompting, "Good morning Ma Ma. How are you?" All in English! |
| She likes push toys. It gives her security when she walks. Her teacher said push toys will help her transition to cane much faster. Bethany received two 30-minutes mobility lessons per week at school. She is learning to navigate around the school and to walk with cane right now. |
| Bethany is learning pre-Braille skills at school right now - identifying different textures, learning to track along the dots, identifying the top, front and back of a book and turning pages. She enjoys being read to, but doesn't like to track. But she is slowly associating tracking with words. |
| Jumping was totally new to her. She finally learned to jump freely on her own! This little trampoline did the trick! |
| Bethany is still working on crawling. This little tunnel makes it fun. She is still sliding her knees forward, instead of picking them up when she crawls. But with time, we will eventually get there, right? Bethany? |

Bethany coming home from school.
For the first time one morning last week, after she got on the bus, she turned around and said to me, "Ma Ma, you will pick me up soon, right?" I was in tears. After two months, she finally has a sense of routine, family and home. |
Bethany at school....
It has been a long and difficult two months of adjustments. We had a lot of fear, anxiety and despair at times, but God has been faithful to give us grace to press on and help us to know Him better and to trust Him at a deeper level. We are taking it one day at a time, relying on God's grace, clinging on to His promises and letting Him leads. I was constantly reminded that these children belong to God Himself. Our job is to give them love. It is then totally up to God how much they will learn or what their future will be. Their lives (and ours in fact) are unfolding mysteries, and only God will write the final chapter.
