Home Study Completed

Last Friday 7/18 was our final home study visit with the social worker. We should be getting our home study document in the next few weeks. We are gearing up for our next step - Dossier (the bundle of documents to be sent to China). We are so excited to moving forward and pray that the crucial step - approval of US immigration - will go smoothly. Many people asked why we want to adopt - especially we already have three kids of our own. About 2.5 years ago, we heard a radio program on adoption and orphans. We were drawn to this direction, but at the time we weren't sure we can do this. We prayed about it as a family, and began to research this topic. Our desire to adopt has grown stronger and stronger over time. The experience raising our three children have made us even more excited about adopting. We feel that parenting is a blessing - to be able to love and nurture children is such joy and privilege. As much as we love and provide for them, they have enriched our lives much more and beyond. We are so inspired by scriptures about orphans in the bible. Many places in the bible God has expressed how he cares for orphans. We believe it is God's heart for us to adopt.
